“Find Your Groove” is an uplifting music-centered documentary explores how music shapes the human mind and why arts education—especially in childhood—matters. It explores how music influences brain development, learning, and emotional well-being—making a powerful case for why access to music education can shape not just individual lives, but society as a whole.  Kevin Harrison edited and art directed this feature documentary film.  

The film leans on a core insight backed by neuroscience: music isn’t just entertainment—it actively engages multiple brain systems (emotion, memory, movement, cognition), which is why it’s so influential during development.

Tangled Roots is a documentary series created by the Historic Charleston Foundation.  It is a poetic, community-driven documentary series that transforms oral histories into a cinematic tapestry. The fluid editing style by Kevin Harrison in collaboration director Katherine Daughtridge uses rhythmic pacing, interwoven voices, and evocative visual layering to create an emotionally resonant portrait of civil rights activists from John’s Island, SC.

SAVE CRAB BANK PROJECT

The Crab Bank Seabird Sanctuary, located in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina, is a vital nesting ground for various coastal bird species

. It was severely eroded by Hurricane Irma in 2017, and threatened the survival of thousands of nesting birds. A concerted effort to restore the sanctuary was launched, spearheaded by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and various conservation organizations and community groups.  The restoration utilized 660,000 cubic yards of compatible material dredged from the Charleston Harbor Deepening Project. This material was used to rebuild approximately 32 acres of nesting habitat.

The restoration was completed in late 2021, and Crab Bank is once again a thriving nesting island, supporting colonies of various seabirds and shorebirds, including black skimmers, American oystercatchers, and least terns.
