KEVIN HARRISON

Kevin is a union film editor with over 20 years experience. In 2002 his professional production career was launched when he hosted a fake riot at the opening of a downtown gallery exhibition featuring his fine-art paintings. This led to a large Chicago-based marketing firm (GMR) to hire him as their creative director for the national production launch of a new body spray called AXE… Since then he has been working on numerous feature documentary film projects as a Producer, Editor and Creative Director, while also editing on movie trailers, music videos and commercials. In 2016 he and his family moved back to the US after living abroad in Barcelona, Spain and Dublin, Ireland for 5-years.

He has been working as a Senior Producer,  Lead Editor and Art Director for aDayInTheLife PRODUCTIONS.

He is also the Co-Founder and Creative Director of GENTLEMEN SMUGGLERS.

After 5+ years in video production I made the leap to feature film projects as an editor. Our family moved to Barcelona, Spain and eventually to Dublin, Ireland. For 5 years I worked remotely as Art Director / Editor for a film studio in the US. I edited on multiple TV and film EPK projects such as THE BAG MAN starring Robert DeNiro and John Cusack.

Since moving back to the U.S. I have continued to edit on feature documentary film projects. I was Lead Editor on FIND YOUR GROOVE (now on Amazon Prime) as well as a feature doc about Prince growing up in Minneapolis titled MR. NELSON ON THE NORTHSIDE.

Most recently, I directed and edited the music video GOOD TIME for the Grammy Award Winning Gullah-based Jazz band RANKY TANKY. In January 2020, the band won a Grammy Award for GOOD TIME. I am also the Art Director and Lead Editor for a new civil rights series called TANGLED ROOTS.

I have been selling my paintings all over the world for the past 23 years with collectors in Quatar, Australia, Sweden, Ireland, Spain, Malaysia and the US.
